Yesterday morning we woke up to this:
This meant a snow day. A snow day plus my 5 kids plus 4 other kids I wound up babysitting meant this:Okay, actually I do need to say more about the second picture. First of all, this was after we had been cleaning the house for nearly an hour. Second of all, this was only one of the rooms of the house that was affected. Third of all, just around the corner from Kaya was a heaping mountain consisting of every single card from every single card game we own, every single puzzle piece from every puzzle, and every single domino in our set. I'm talking hours of sorting and clean-up. And fourth of all, did I mention I was dealing with NINE children that day? After that, even a little mess would be overwhelming. Unfortunately this was no little mess. This picture isn't actually worth a thousand words.

Looks about like here but instead of toy's picture just dirt. dog hair, and random junk that just gets put down while someone got distracted with something else!! Maybe you could play the clean up game!! Everyone here just looks at me funny if I mention helping me!!
At least they all had a good time!
Oh, that is nothing compared to when my four kids get turned loose in your house!
P.S. My house is much much much messier. Gotta love those snow days!
Oh, you poor thing.
I should post a picture of my basement to console you or reassure you that you are not alone.
The difference is that you actually cleaned yours up! Mine is still there.
Alison,
Actually if this had been in the basement, it wouldn't have been cleaned up either. Having to step on legos and polly pockets to walk through the main rooms of our house was a bit of a problem. I WISH we had a finished basement to shove all this stuff down to!
All the cards and puzzles sounds very familiar to me. All of the kids games and puzzles are on the highest shelf in out house, however if there is a will there is a way, and my kids are very strong willed. On any given day they will manage to get them all down and mix them all up. Its really not my favorite. I do feel for you.
Not even a thousand four letter words?
