Fourteen years with an amazing kid! We are so proud of the young man the Kendall is becoming. He is so funny and fun and smart and kind and helpful and talented. He is a kid magnet! One of the teachers pulled me aside at the school carnival last night to tell me how much she loves and appreciates Kendall. She said that instead of going into the gym to goof around with all the other junior high kids, he has been coming to her classroom in the mornings where a bunch of the teachers kids gather to play before school every day. She said he is so good with them and keeps them entertained so the teachers can get work done. (He came up with a Win, Lose, or Draw game for them yesterday). She said the kids just adore him and want to be just like him. And he genuinely enjoys spending time with the kids. Two of those kids (twins) invited him to their 8th birthday party. And he was so excited to go! He's become something of a celebrity around the school these days.
We just love him so much.
His party this year was low key. We just had family. We went to La Casa Mexicana to celebrate and he got to wear the sombrero and have them sing to him. Then it was back home for cake and presents.
