Sometimes our spring break will line up perfectly with the Bramhall's spring break and they will come for a visit during that time. But this year their break ended up being later so it didn't work out for them to come. However, when they found out that Kendall's Les Miserables play was happening at the tail end of their break, Alison asked if they could come after all because it is Isabel's dream play and she was dying to come and see it. We decided to keep it a surprise though and it definitely was. They showed up with a pizza delivery at our front door and our kids were ecstatic! Hardly anyone uses the front door so Kaya, who got to the door first, moved the curtain to see who it was first and then she just started screaming and jumping up and down. We had a great visit. I made the kids go to school on Thursday and Alison and Mike and their kids hung out here during the day and ran a few errands. But Friday, I let my kids stay home from school and we went and played at Bouncin' Play and had a fun day together.
That night we went to opening night of Les Mis. Kendall did a phenomenal job in his role as Courfeyrac (one of the students) and the overall performance was impressive.
We spent some of the following day at the nature center. Spring was kind of late this year so there wasn't a ton of green but there were definitely signs of it and was still pretty and lots of fun to go exploring.
We're so glad that Bramhall's were able to make the trip work out!
