Taylor and Kaya's birthdays

With so much planning involved in putting together a graduation open house for Taylor (SO thankful that is over and done with!) and with our planned vacation to Utah getting in the way of some important birthdays, we wound up having to have some early parties for Taylor and Kaya. Since Kaya was turning 6, that meant she could have a "friend party" too. Thank goodness for Victory Park. It definitely makes throwing together a party at the last minute a lot easier. We just turn them loose on the playground, take a few breaks for presents and cake and then more time on the playground. We had a nice turnout in spite of the last minute notice and Kaya was thrilled to be the center of attention.

Then just before leaving on our trip, we had our family party for both Kaya and Taylor.

I love Spencer's creative gift ideas. I bet Kaya might be the first six year old to get a package of salami as a birthday gift! And it was one of her favorites!

Happy birthday to my two bookends--oldest and youngest! What an adventure it has been.
