I had NO IDEA when Taylor came into the world nearly 18 years ago that this day would be arriving so soon! I seriously remember my own graduation from high school as a recent event so it's just a bit crazy that I'm old enough to have a child graduating from high school.
He has grown a lot over these years, and even just this past year at a new school. We are really proud of all his hard work and the man that he is growing to be. One drawback of such a large graduating class is that it's a little more impersonal, and the ceremony is seriously long just getting through all those names and passing out all the diplomas. But it was a nice ceremony, outdoors on a beautiful day.
Graduation kicked off with a parade downtown followed by a mad dash back to the school to try to get decent seats for the ceremony.
Afterward there was lots of posing for pictures with family and friends.
We are excited to see what the future holds for Taylor with his mission plans just ahead and then college and career and marriage and kids of his own. He'll be graduating one of his own before he even knows what happened!
