Every year the elementary school here offers Santa's Secret Shop where the kids can bring in their money and shop for gifts ranging from a quarter to five dollars for their families and friends. Spencer was SO excited to be able to pick out gifts all by himself and he came home just bursting to tell me what he bought for everybody. I told him he could tell me what he bought for the rest of the family but he needed to keep mine a secret. After revealing the fantastic treasures he purchased for everyone else he said: "I will not tell you what I bought for you but it does look--it just looks like a horse. But it's not one." I immediately tried to tell him not to give anymore hints but later he did tell me it was soft and is a kind of animal and that it is something I will just love. I'm sure that when I open my stuffed unicorn on Christmas I really will be thrilled.

That is very funny!!! I hope you are getting your surprise face ready!!!
Cecily is 6 and she is just as bad. They did the holiday shop at school and she came home and said,"Isabel, I won't tell you what I got, I will just give you a hint. It is jewelry!" I guess by not revealing it's a bracelet she figures she really didn't tell!
That is so funny! I just love Christmas! Seeing and hearing about how excited kids get. It is the best thing ever.
I love the hints that he gave you.
Priceless!!!
Oh how cute is that? What a darling!
