Bramhall's

We LOVE it when we get visitors, and some of our favorite ones are the Bramhall's.  They were on their way back from a lengthy and exhausting vacation to Utah so we wondered if they would even have the energy for another stop along the journey.  But of course, the kids were all so excited to see each other and they just had a ball together no matter what we were doing.  I loved to get to have a nice visit with my sister and it was so much fun to meet their newest addition Barrett.

We pretty much did the usual activities--Turkeyville, Swain's Lake, Kid's 'n' Stuff museum, the zoo and lots of playtime and games and visiting. We also went and visited an Amish store and bakery, which was something new and Alison and I even managed to work in a scrapbooking night which was so great--I hadn't scrapped in probably a year and a half.  It got me wanting to get back to it again.  I just haven't managed to work it in again yet.  Maybe over Christmas break...

Anyway, the following pictures document some of our adventures:

Train riding at Turkeyville!

Our kids learned the addictive nature of gambling with the quarter machine.  We'd just be ready to call it quits when someone would win some quarters and then they'd want to keep going.  Jonathan lost a great deal of money that day...

Alison accidentally ordered two of these cute dresses so she gave one to Kaya.  Lydia and Kaya loved dressing the same for church.

Matching again in their tutus!

Amish laundry:)
Fun at the Sweet Tooth.

Taylor discovered a cute little turtle at Swain's Lake.

I love that these two are becoming such good friends.

Cute little Barrett is one of the happiest babies ever!

Cousins!

Fun at the kids museum.

Jonathan got very into a coloring project in the art room.  He spent the entire time working in a very detailed picture.

Still coloring...And his finished project was totally impressive.  We had no idea what a great color-er he is.
We celebrated Mom's birthday at La Casa Mexicana.

Fun hike at the nature center.

Lydia at the zoo.

Spencer informed us the morning that the Bramhall's were leaving that he hadn't held Barrett even once, so he finally had his turn.

It was such a fun visit and a perfect way to wrap up the summer!
