Happy Birthday Lynnsey

I'm beginning to have trouble with birthdays. Not my own though. My kids. Why is time going by so fast! Our little Lynnsey Lulu turned 9 on Jan. 10th. Kaya was so excited about the box of Skittles she bought for Lynnsey.

Nana spoiled her, as usual. Lynnsey is SO into arts and crafts these days so she loved these two sets.

Another Webkinz pet--just what she "needed".

Kendall didn't understand why I had her open this one last, until he saw her reaction. Lynnsey has decided that since she can't have all of the full-size American Girl dolls, she wants to begin collecting all of the miniatures. So this Felicity doll gets her started...

I didn't get a picture of Kendall's gift to her. It was pretty great actually. He bought her a coconut. She had mentioned once that she always wanted to taste coconut milk. So she did. She thought it was pretty good but even better was the coconut. And what was left over, we grated and dried in our dehydrator. We sprinkled in a bit of powdered sugar and now we have a container of really delicious coconut to enjoy!

It's so crazy to think our first baby girl is getting so big already. She gets more beautiful every day and is really coming out of her shell. She's counting down to February when she gets to participate in the annual youth theatre play again. This year they are doing The Jungle Book! She moved up to the "old" primary class and I sure miss having her in my class. She loves to read--late into the night usually and when she doesn't have a book in her hand she is usually crafting something or writing stories or talking on the phone with her best friend. We love to have her in our family!

Happy birthday Lynnsey!

I can't believe she is 9 already either!

What a fun birthday...love all the gifts, especially the coconut!

My girls want to collect the mini-dolls, too. They are already up to 6 between the 2 of them so they may have a shot at it if they are willing to share their collection! Lately I think they are playing with the mini-dolls more than the big ones.
