Kendall is the best person to give gifts to because he is so gracious about everything and makes the giver feel like they picked the best possible gift. For example, he was ecstatic about new earpods for his MP3 Player:
He got books 3 and 4 in the Percy Jackson series (thanks Nana for #4!):
He recieved several other gifts including a nice pen from Taylor and a couple of dvd's including Napoleon Dynamite. The biggest gift of the night was something he has had on his list for awhile now but didn't think we'd ever get for him. Here he is peeking into the bag.
And here is is reacting:
And here is one happy boy with is very own pet beta fish. Just imagine what he'd have done if we'd have gotten the puppy he's been asking for. Baby steps....
Kendall also decorated his own cake:
It was a fun day with a fun kid. Kendall is just such a blessing to us. He is so easy going and so willing to help with anything. He is a peacemaker with his brothers and sisters and so patient with them. He's a spiritual giant and amazes us with his knowledge of the gospel and his testimony of Jesus Christ. And he has the most funny sense of humor and makes us laugh constantly. It's hard to believe that we've had him for 11 years already, but it's been such a joy. We love you Kendalito!

I love the reaction!!! Very cute! I am glad that he gets so excited about gifts that way. I always feel bad when I give a gift to someone and the reaction is less than excited! I am glad that he had a good birthday! I hope his fish does well. What did he name it?
He named the fish Abinadi. So far he's been doing great at taking care of it and cleaning out the bowl on his own and the fish seems to be thriving so that's good. We've had beta's before that have lasted two or three years, so hopefully this one will stick around too.
I agree with everything you said about Kendall...he is one super young man!! I love the name of his fish!
That is really awesome. It doesnt seem like he should be eleven already. Of course it doesnt feel like William should be eight either.
I really like the cake. He did an awesome job of decorating it. All the way down to where the candles are placed. I love it.
Happy birthday to one of our favorite people!
Wow. Can he come hang out with my boys for a while? I wouldn't mind at all if he rubbed off on them. My favorite thing right now might be how you described his reaction to gifts. I wish everyone could be that way. Bless his heart.
