I first met my friend Holly on the first day of fifth grade. We became friends quickly and continued on through the rest of elementary school, junior high, and high school and then we were roommates in college for two years after that. Then I got married and she went on a mission and our lives went in different directions with periodic visits once in awhile. And then we moved to the midwest and she was living in across the country in California so even those infrequent visits stopped. For nine whole years we haven't seen or really even spoken to each other (the 3 hour time difference is a complication when you are trying to make a phone call) except a few e-mails or facebook messages here and there. But a business trip to Chicago, put Holly within close enough range of us, that a visit was in order. She was able to come for a short visit a couple of weekends ago and it was so great to see her again! We had a great time catching up and just taking time out of our hectic lives to relax and pick up like no time had passed at all. I can't wait for the next visit! Hopefully before another decade passes.

It's good to see a photo of Holly again and it was good to see Jenn here in Duchesne. I wish all 3 of you could get together for a catch-up visit sometime. It sounds as though you may be able to see Holly more now if she is being transferred to Chicago.

It was so fun being in MI - what a great place! I can't wait to come by again - and I love the idea of everyone coming together...maybe some day!
