A couple of weeks ago Kendall auditioned for a spot in the local youth theatre's production of "The Wizard of Oz". He was so excited when they called him the other day to let him know that they are casting him as the Wizard! They thought it would be funny for the audience after hearing a big booming voice (which will be done by an 8th grader), for Kendall to come out from behind the curtain with his tiny size and much smaller voice. He's so excited. He was figuring he'd be cast as a munchkin or just as an extra without a speaking part since this is his first time doing a play. But they said he did a great job enunciating his words, so they thought he'd be perfect for this part.
He starts practice today and the actual play is scheduled for the end of April. Pretty exciting huh?

Yay, Kendall! That is seriously awesome! I wish we could come see the play!
If we win the lottery by then we will come check it out. Otherwise I guess you will just have to record it so we can see it later. I can see Kendall getting into plays and stuff. He has the outgoing personality for that. I was always way too shy and self-conscious.
I already said it to him, but congratulations to you Kendall!! This should be a fun experience for you and I wish you nothing but the best in it!!!
